Rooftop Realisations

I love when a new year rolls around, don’t you? As that clock strikes twelve, there is literally fireworks! Well wishes to that stranger next to you, seeing the woo girls finally find their moment and you might have a special someone plant one on you, if you’re lucky!

I brought in the much desired new year dancing under the stars on museum rooftop in the city. Random I know! It was actually quite beautiful to gaze over the city as it came alive with colour. As champagne fuelled conversation amongst friends, it became apparent to me that within this diverse mix of guys and girls, there were two different types of people counting down these last hours together. The realists and the dreamers..

The vision of the dreamers and the stubbornness of the realists made the banter hilarious, especially on the subject of resolutions! It was the determination of the realists and the infectious passion of the dreamers I liked the most but also animated hand gestures, now they were creative to say the least and very distracting! Though one was for goals and the other for self discovery, it was the want for something more which we all cheers upon as we welcomed the new.

Isn’t that what makes the new year special? Shows you there is no time like the present to make it happen!
