We women spend hours and a pretty little penny maintaining our locks! Even men these days with their slick comb overs, top knots and especially their almighty beards take the time and particularly make the effort to try to nail that hipster bordering on homeless look! Which I am not ashamed to admit I love haha.
I personally have a dream of having mermaid hair. I wish I was lying!I understand it is a fantasy and I honestly blame Disney movies for my unrealistic expectation of hair. Damn Princess Jasmine and her endless volume!! Living a life of frizz however can lead to extreme bad hair days which only can be tamed with one do and one do only – UP.
Recently I have been watching a lot and I mean a lot of Game of Thrones and to add to that I had a Pride & Prejudice marathon with my cousin over the rainy weekend . Not only does it rehash my love for Mr Darcy but it caused a random discussion in which we both agreed that braids are the bomb.
Inspired! I decided to use it as a weapon to combat the worst my mane could throw at me! Honestly I was really quite surprised the amount of attention my old school braid received yesterday…
Don’t you find it funny though? The one day you have shoved your hair back because it is definitely dirty and a just a plain old frizz ball – It gets all the love!
Haha don’t get me wrong, it makes a girls day! I always have believed that braids are underrated and at times intimidating in their intricacy hence why I stick to the basics! But why not get cray? Try the fishtail or even the ghetto extreme that Queen Bey has been rocking lately. It is a simple way to hide all those bad hair days! In the end let it out and you will have those beautiful waves without the hours of effort! It could be my growing obsession with Khaleesi but why not try it out?
